MDC PCN Patient Participation Group (PPG)

What is a PPG?

A PPG is a group of patients, carers and PCN staff who meet to discuss PCN issues and patient experience to help improve the service.

Our PCN PPG is currently being established and is open to patients in both practices’ lists.

Who sits on our PCN PPG?

PCN PPG is made up of a group of volunteers from the member practices’ PPG board and core management staff of the PCN. There is usually one or more PCN staff.

The PCN PPG is a closed forum, however there will be times when each practice’s PPG chair may contact their PPG members and ask for feedback on certain plans before they are finalised to then feedback to the PCN.

What is the purpose of a PPG?

Our PPG works together with the PCN to represent the patient’s voice in decision making and ensuring that all communities within the PCN are represented.

Being a part of our PPG provides an opportunity for:

1.Patients and PCN staff to meet and discuss constructive suggestions for improving the PCN as a whole and share concerns that could affect our population

2.To increase knowledge and understanding of our PCN within Bromley

3.To raise broader issues happening within the member practices the PCN can support with on a wider scale

4.To be listened to and raise knowledge on what PPG feel is most important and what we should strive to improve first
